McDonald's US Sales Slip as Global Systemwide Tops $38B

McDonald's global systemwide sales rose 4% to more than $38 billion in the third quarter, but comparable sales in the United States fell 0.2% even as the global figure rose 1.5%. Diluted earnings per share climbed to $3.51 from $3.18 a year earlier. The chain's biggest market by store count is now the weak link in an otherwise growing business. $MCD
