● Google's Future Spending Commitments Top $1 Trillion
Alphabet ($GOOGL) disclosed material purchase commitments of $924.4 billion as of September 30, 2026, up from $811 billion just three months earlier, according to its latest 10-Q filing. Only $213.4 billion of that is due within the next 12 months — the rest locks in AI infrastructure spending for years ahead. The jump shows the company is piling up long-dated obligations for data centers and chips faster than it is actually writing checks this year.
