US TRADE DEFICIT HITS 17-MONTH HIGH
The US goods and services trade deficit widened to $105.6 billion in August, up 13.7% from July's revised $92.8 billion, the Commerce Department reported. The gap is the widest in 17 months, growing even as tariffs remain in force and pressuring the dollar ($DXY). Washington's trade math keeps moving the wrong way.
