Alphabet ($GOOGL) is close to an agreement to buy nuclear energy from Constellation Energy ($CEG), Bloomberg reports, in what would be a billion-dollar deal. Technology companies are racing to line up power for the data-center boom, and nuclear plants offer round-the-clock electricity without carbon emissions.
