MIDEAST OIL EXPORTS TOP PREWAR LEVELS AMID ATTACKS
Middle East crude exports hit a seven-day average of 18.3 million barrels a day through September 30, topping the roughly 18 million bpd that flowed before the war between the US, Israel and Iran, according to ship-tracking data cited by Bloomberg. The recovery comes even as attacks on tankers intensify: at least seven incidents hit the region in the past week, with strikes in the Strait of Hormuz or the Gulf of Aden almost daily since October 2. Brent crude ($BNO) now has to price a growing risk premium on top of a supply chain that has already outrun its wartime pace.
