FRENCH BOND YIELDS HIT 24-YEAR HIGH AS EURO SINKS
France's 10-year bond yield climbed to 4.92% on Monday, its highest level since 2002, as the country's fiscal crisis deepens. The euro ($FXE) slid to $1.1161, a 17-month low against the dollar, even as Spain's 10-year yield held near 4.08% despite Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez calling a snap election for November 29. Paris, not Madrid, is now the epicenter of Europe's bond stress.
