RUSSIA SHUTS DIESEL EXPORT WINDOW AGAIN
Russia's government extended its ban on diesel exports through January 31, 2027, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said Saturday. The move reverses a 500,000-tonne export quota Moscow opened on October 10, just one day after Washington's OFAC authorized imports of Russian diesel for the first time. That narrow sanctions opening is now closed again under the renewed ban. Diesel futures ($HO) have tracked the supply squeeze since Ukrainian drone strikes knocked out Russian refining capacity, and global buyers lose the brief relief the October quota offered.
