NORWEGIAN TANKER OWNER AWAITS $55 MILLION VERDICT

Hunter Group ASA, a Norwegian tanker owner, says commodity trader Mercuria Energy Group owes it $55 million in unpaid charter hire. Mercuria stopped paying rates pegged to the Baltic Exchange's TD3C benchmark, which spiked to $728,000 a day on Hormuz-linked routes during the Iran war, versus $302,000 a day on routes outside the strait. The dispute is now in a London trial, where Mercuria argues the benchmark no longer reflected real market conditions. $HUNT's unpaid hire keeps growing every month the case drags on.
