VISA HIKES DIVIDEND 16% AFTER STRONG QUARTER

Visa closed its fiscal fourth quarter with net revenue of $12.1 billion, up 13% year over year, while GAAP earnings per share rose 22% to $3.19. The board responded by raising the quarterly dividend 16%, to $0.78 per share from $0.673, payable December 1 to holders of record as of November 10. Profit is growing faster than revenue as transaction volumes keep climbing. $V closes out its fiscal year sending more cash straight to shareholders.
