CHINA PROPERTY INVESTMENT SLUMP WORSENS AGAIN
China's real estate investment fell 20.6% year-over-year in the first nine months of 2026, National Bureau of Statistics data show, worse than the 19.9% drop recorded through August. Developers spent 5.34 trillion yuan on property from January through September, as sales and new construction kept contracting. The slide in Chinese property investment, now deeper than a month earlier, keeps weighing on demand for industrial metals and shares tied to China like $FXI.
