WHIRLPOOL GUIDANCE FLIPS TO FULL-YEAR LOSS
Whirlpool slashed its 2026 outlook again, now guiding to a full-year ongoing loss of roughly $1.30 per share, reversing the $2.50 to $3.00 profit it had projected just two months ago, in August. The appliance maker's third-quarter sales fell 8.8% year-over-year as U.S. demand stayed weak. CEO Marc Bitzer said the pace of recovery is slower than expected and pushed hopes for improvement into 2027. $WHR has gone from guiding a smaller profit to guiding a loss for the entire year.
