ASSET MANAGERS PUSH AUSSIE DOLLAR SHORTS TO RECORD
Asset managers raised their net short bets against the Australian dollar to a record 129,065 contracts in the week ended October 20, Bloomberg reported citing CFTC data. That marks a jump of 12,901 contracts from the prior week, the seventh straight weekly increase. The retreat from this risk-sensitive currency, tracked by the $FXA fund, comes as Middle East tensions and jitters over the AI trade push investors toward safe havens.
