DELTA, LUFTHANSA KEEP AVOIDING REOPENED RIYADH AIRPORT
Saudi Arabia's King Khalid International Airport officially reopened on October 20, more than a week after Houthi drone and missile strikes damaged six aircraft worth roughly $375 million in insured value. Airlines are not convinced the risk is over. Lufthansa has suspended flights until November 18, and Delta ($DAL) pushed back the launch of its new Atlanta-Riyadh route to March 2027. The airport is open. The schedule says the airspace is not.
