TRUMP RESHUFFLES CANADA AUTO TARIFF LIST AGAIN
President Trump signed a new proclamation on October 23 that again revises which Canadian-made vehicles and parts are subject to the 50% duty imposed under Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930. The updated list takes effect October 30, the third rewrite since the tariff first applied on August 19 following an earlier revision in September. Automakers with cross-border supply chains, including Stellantis $STLA, have now seen the target list change three times in three months, with the duty rate holding steady at 50% through every version.
