GM TIGHTENS 2026 OUTLOOK ADDS $20 BILLION BUYBACK
General Motors tightened its full-year 2026 profit guidance, narrowing projected net income to a range of $8.9 billion to $9.5 billion from the wider $8.4 billion to $9.8 billion band it gave earlier this year. The automaker paired the tighter target with a new $20 billion share buyback authorization that carries no expiration date. $GM is signaling confidence in hitting the high end of its own range rather than hedging with a wide spread.
