PRUDENTIAL EXITS BRAZIL AND MEXICO FOR $4 BILLION

Prudential Financial ($PRU) agreed to sell its insurance units in Brazil and Mexico to France's CNP Assurances for $4.025 billion in cash, according to an October 20 SEC filing. The deal follows the October 13 close of similar exits in Indonesia, South Africa and Kenya, as Prudential narrows its footprint to focus on the US market. The $4.025 billion price tag is a sliver of the $1.6 trillion Prudential manages, and the sale isn't expected to close until the second half of 2027.
