FRANCE'S BOND YIELDS SURGE WHILE GERMANY BARELY MOVES
France's 10-year bond yield jumped 13 basis points to 4.9% on Monday, its sharpest one-day move since late September, after a weekend of riots left more than 1,800 people arrested across the country and pushed the government to weigh a state of emergency. Germany's 10-year yield barely budged, up just 4 basis points to 3.45%, a sign investors are pricing French and German debt as two different risks again. French equities tracked by $EWQ slid alongside bank stocks, as traders doubt whether Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu's government can pass next year's budget.
