RUSSIAN DIESEL SURGE SENDS OIL LOWER
Oil prices slid after Russia moved to boost diesel exports under a new U.S. sanctions waiver. Brent crude fell 1.8% to $104.74 a barrel and WTI dropped the same amount to $92.04, as Moscow signaled it will lift monthly diesel shipments from 3 million to 3.5 million metric tons by year-end. The U.S. Treasury's General License 135, issued after a Trump-Putin call, authorizes Russian diesel trade through April 2027, easing a fuel squeeze that had pushed American pump prices to record highs. $USO
