GOLD GAINS AS WARSH EASES RATE-HIKE BETS
Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh declined to say whether the Fed will raise rates again at its October 27-28 meeting, telling reporters "we're not in that business any more" when pressed for forward guidance. Traders responded by cutting the odds of an October rate hike from 27.7% to 14.9% within hours of his remarks, and gold ($GLD) climbed into a $4,170 to $4,185 range as the hike premium came out of the market.
