ANTHROPIC PLEDGES UP TO 20% OF EQUITY

Anthropic is committing 5% of its shares today to a new Public Benefit Fund, with a mechanism that could push the total toward roughly 20% as the company's valuation rises. None of that equity, the company says, can be used for lobbying or political donations in the US or abroad. Anthropic, backed by Amazon ($AMZN), separately confirmed it has already committed $200 million to study AI's effect on the labor market. The move contrasts with rivals' escalating executive pay packages, routing that growth into the fund instead of into insiders.
