EGYPT TO SELL 30% OF STATE BANK
Banque Misr, the sole owner of Banque du Caire, is selling a 30% stake in the lender on the Egyptian Exchange, with subscriptions closing in late October and trading set to begin in November. The $EGPT-tracked market will get its first look at a state bank that posted EGP 8.9 billion in net profit during just the first half of 2026, on total assets of EGP 561.2 billion. It's the first attempt to list the bank after years of stalled privatization plans.
