TRUMP WAIVES RUSSIA OIL TARIFFS BEFORE DEADLINE
President Trump signed an executive order late Friday waiving the tariffs set by the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act, one day before its October 18 implementation deadline. The law, signed in September, had authorized duties of up to 500% on Russian goods and 100% on the five largest buyers of Russian crude and natural gas. The waiver certifies the move as being in the national interest, sparing major importers like India from that tariff wall just as diesel and energy costs stay under watch ahead of the midterms.
