MSCI RULES COULD PUSH STRATEGY OUT OF INDEXES

MSCI RULES COULD PUSH STRATEGY OUT OF INDEXES

MSCI finalized new index-eligibility rules on October 15 that could force Strategy, Metaplanet and SharpLink out of its global benchmarks starting with the November review, with the final constituent list due November 11. The change drops the interim limits MSCI had placed on companies holding over 50% of assets in digital currency and instead screens firms by the size of their operating assets. Passive funds tracking MSCI indexes would have to sell shares of any company removed, yet all three stocks rallied the same day the rules were announced: Strategy ($MSTR) gained 5.62%, SharpLink ($SBET) added 3.54% and Metaplanet ($MTPLF) rose 0.60%.
