● US PRODUCER PRICES POST BIGGEST JUMP SINCE 2022
US producer prices jumped 1.3% in September, the sharpest monthly rise since March 2022, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said. Energy costs spiked 10.8% for the month, accounting for more than 80% of that broad-based increase and pushing the annual PPI gain to 6.3%, the largest 12-month rise since December 2022. The data complicates the Fed's inflation outlook just as bond traders in $TLT weigh how much of that cost pressure can still be looked past.
