SEC APPROVES BINARY OPTIONS ON COMPANY KPIS
The SEC approved Cboe's plan to list binary options tied to corporate KPIs on October 13, the first time a US stock exchange has won approval for this kind of contract. Robinhood ($HOOD) will be the exclusive retail broker at launch, offering the first 23 companies' contracts without fees through the end of 2026. The approval covers only exchange-traded binary options. The SEC's order explicitly left the CFTC's authority over similar event contracts, the kind Kalshi and Polymarket already sell, untouched.
