Apple's market capitalization topped $5.048 trillion on Tuesday, a fresh all-time high for $AAPL built on the launch of HomeView, its new $299 smart-home display powered by an upgraded Siri. The jump makes Apple only the second company ever to cross $5 trillion, still trailing Nvidia's market cap of $5.454 trillion. HomeView is Apple's biggest bet on connected-home hardware in years, aimed at opening a new revenue line beyond the iPhone.
