DOLLAR INDEX HITS HIGHEST LEVEL SINCE APRIL 2025
The U.S. Dollar Index ($DXY) climbed to 102.5 on Monday, its highest level since April 2025, according to Trading Economics. Markets are pricing an 83% chance the Federal Reserve holds rates steady at its October meeting, but an 86% chance of a quarter-point hike in December. That shift toward "higher for longer" is what's propelling the greenback to an 18-month high.
