INDIA'S INFLATION JUMPS TO TWO-YEAR HIGH
India's consumer prices rose 5.54% in September, up from 4.83% in August, the fastest pace in nearly two years. Food costs drove the jump, with the food price index climbing to 7.74% from 5.97% a month earlier. The data strengthens the case for the Reserve Bank of India to hold rates higher for longer, pressuring $INDA and the rupee.
