AMAZON JOINS BIDDING WAR FOR AI STARTUP DECART

Amazon is in talks to acquire AI startup Decart for about $7 billion, Reuters reported citing the Wall Street Journal. That price is nearly double the $4 billion valuation Decart fetched in a funding round just five months ago, in May. Anthropic had already explored a $6 billion deal for the same startup before walking away after due diligence in September. Decart's software helps AI models run more efficiently across chips from Nvidia, Google and Amazon's own Trainium line. $AMZN is now the third major buyer to chase a company barely five months removed from its last funding round.
