SPACEX SEEKS $40 BILLION FOR NVIDIA CHIPS

SpaceX is seeking $40 billion in financing led by Apollo Global Management to pay for a large order of Nvidia chips, the Financial Times reported, with Pimco among the lenders in talks. The package splits into roughly $10 billion in bank loans and $30 billion in investment-grade bonds, and is expected to close in 2027. It adds SpaceX to the list of companies tapping credit markets instead of cash flow to build AI compute capacity. Morgan Stanley estimates the industry will need $1.5 trillion in external financing by 2028, which makes this single deal a small piece of what is still coming. The chip order keeps $NVDA at the center of the financing wave.
