MICRON TAIWAN WORKERS AUTHORIZE A STRIKE
Micron's union in Taoyuan, Taiwan voted to authorize a strike over bonuses, with 1,994 of 2,012 members in favor, Reuters reports. The vote gives the union the right to walk out but sets no date; mediation failed in September. Workers want a permanent share of operating profit, while Micron says its fiscal 2026 rewards for Taiwan staff already equal 35 to 68 months of pay. $MU is down 2.4% at $1,020, though the chip index $SOX is falling just as much, so the strike is not the whole story.
