JAPAN'S 30-YEAR YIELD PULLS BACK FROM RECORD
Japan's 30-year government bond yield eased about 3 basis points to around 4.21% in early Tokyo trading, after hitting a record 4.235% on Monday as markets waited for Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's policy speech. The pressure is concentrated at the long end: the 30-year has been climbing even as 2-year and 10-year yields slipped, a sign investors want more compensation to lend to Japan for decades.
